Beauty and the Beast (Beauty and the Beast)
A beautiful story, a sweet fairy tale that became a film in
1991 and was based on the French fairy tale by Jean-Marie Leprince
de Beaumont with the same title.
The story begins with the young prince’s denial of his
castle to give shelter in his castle to a witch, who
in return for hospitality, she would give him a flower, a rose.
The old witch, in order to avenge him, turned him with magic into a
ugly monster, and gave him the rose, and with it a
a mirror so he can see what is happening outside the castle
his.
The spell would only be broken if the monster found the
love.
To love and be loved, until his 21st birthday,
where the last petal of the rose would fall.
It’s been a decade. Belle, a beautiful young lady
who was very fond of books, felt indignant at the
everyday life of her village, and she wanted to live another, more
intense life. Maurice (Belle’s father) and his horse, the
Filip, lost in the forest and attacked by a pack
wolves. Thus, the road leads them to the threshold of the castle,
where the Beast lived. Entering the castle to ask
shelter, he meets Lumiere – the candlestick, the
Cogsworth – the clock, Mrs. Potts – the teapot, and
Chip that was her son, the cup. But the Beast
perceives them and refuses to offer him shelter, and
imprisoning him. Fate will bring the Beast and Belle together when
the latter will be notified of her father’s adventure. Despite
her father’s disagreements, Belle suggests that he be imprisoned
her instead of her father, and she succeeds. Her father
returns from the castle to the village to ask for help, but
no one believes his story.
When Lumiere and Cogsworth were showing Bell around
in the castle, she escaped and went to the forbidden West
Wing. The Beast was furious when he was informed of this move, and so Belle
started running towards the forest where she was attacked
by a pack of wolves. The feelings of the two heroes began
when the Beast saved Belle from the wolves,
and she was tending to his wound. Later, while the
Belle and the Beast had a romantic dinner, she of the
reveals that she misses her father. Then the Beast gives her
that mirror that the old witch had given him, to
see him through it. Belle saw her father lost in the
forest, trying to find and save her. Then the Beast
decides to let her go free to go find her father
giving her the mirror, too, something of him to remember him by. And while the
Gaston was about to put her father in a mental hospital
thinking he was going crazy and saying there was a monster in the
castle, Belle shows the villagers the Beast through the
mirror to convince them that the monster is real. Gaston,
always in love with Belle and hurt by her
rejection, perceived Belle’s feelings for the monster, became jealous and
so he convinced the villagers that it was a man-eater
monster, gathered them up and led them to his castle in order to
eliminate him.
The battle began, Gaston was fighting the Beast and the
servants with the peasants. The Beast got power when
she saw Belle, defeated Gaston and gave him life.
However, Gaston delivers a final blow to the Beast, the
kills, but he is also killed by falling from the roof
of the castle when he lost his balance. Then Belle, just before the end, just before
fall the last petal of the rose, he admitted
how the Beast loves. The spell was broken, the Beast came to life and
he became a handsome prince again. The fairy tale ends, in
the castle ballroom, with the prince and Belle
dancing and everyone watching them happily.
